The infrastructure will be designed to receive up to 5 million annual users with possibilities to expand the terminal up to 8 million. The total cost of the work is estimated at US $ 665 million.
It is also connected by rail with the cities of Juliaca, Arequipa and Puno. Finally, by road, it is connected to the cities of Puerto Maldonado, Arequipa, Abancay, Juliaca and Puno.
